What you should know

For decades, Le Regroupement des maisons pour femmes victimes de violence conjugale has carried out the crucial mission of supporting, sheltering and accompanying women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Over the years, one recurring conclusion emerged: the organization required a dedicated space for discussions, research and ongoing training to foster the development of practices, strengthen professional competencies, and harmonize intervention approaches across Quebec.

To meet this need, Quebec is now officially home to the Institut Écho, a new training space dedicated to professionals from various sectors (community organizations, health and social services, police forces, etc.) who may encounter and need to intervene with victims of domestic violence.

The Institut Écho has a clear purpose: to offer a space for continuous development to frontline professionals. Its creation marks an important advancement for the sector, supported by a strong and meaningful brand ecosystem.

Solution

What we did

To create this new training entity, the Regroupement hired Bob to help develop the overall brand strategy for the Institut Écho, from its initial conceptualization to its official launch.

The agency led the work on:

• The brand architecture
• The naming process and the definition of the narrative territory
• The complete brand DNA: positioning, mission, vision, values, tone and promise
• The creation of the full visual identity
The website
• The launch video

Chosen for its symbolic strength, the name Écho evokes the transmission of knowledge, the dissemination of best practices, and the resonance of the voices of women and of those who support them. Together, these elements form a coherent, accessible and deeply human brand designed to evolve and grow over time.

Result

What we accomplished

Throughout the mandate, Bob worked closely with the Regroupement to bring to life a durable entity capable of supporting and valuing the professionals who, every day, have the power to intervene with women and children experiencing violence. The strategic and creative approach made it possible to build a brand ecosystem that is clear, structured and aligned with the real needs of the sector.

A noteworthy launch

Officially announced on November 17, 2025, and covered by the media, the launch of the Institut Écho marks a major milestone for the Regroupement. With a strong brand, a well-defined ecosystem and a solid digital presence, the institute can now:

• Advance practices to deal with domestic violence and coercive control
• Strengthen the quality of interventions
• Offer specialized, continuous and up-to-date training
• Highlight and elevate the expertise of those working on the front lines

The Institut Écho is more than a new brand.
It is an essential lever for social change and a powerful example of what a committed collaboration between an organization and an agency can achieve.

“Designing the strategy and identity of the Institut Écho was more than a branding mandate; it was a collective responsibility. We wanted to create a lasting entity capable of supporting and valuing those who, every day, have the power to intervene with women and children experiencing violence. This was a meaningful project for the entire Bob team, who truly enjoyed collaborating with the institute’s team over the past several months,” said Gabrielle Thom-Gadbois, Vice-President, Brand Strategy at Bob.
