The arrival of the OSM’s new music director, Maestro Rafael Payare, presented a great opportunity to revisit the concept of this flagship event and to immerse ourselves in its creative universe. To do so, two benefit balls were held simultaneously: the OSM Ball and the OSM Ball Éclaté. The double event aimed to create a strong connection with the guests.
In order to allow them to experience the event to the fullest, the evening was planned around four major moments, each corresponding to a dimension of the maestro’s creative process, for whom “music is not played, it is lived!” His enthusiasm was evident in the joyful exuberance of the dancers, his characteristic excellence was brought to life through the concert, and his originality was on display at the dinner held in the symphony house—a first! The maestro’s creativity coloured every aspect of the Ball Éclaté, filling it with inventiveness and wonder.
